Professional Overview

Laura Kight Musick is an associate in the firm’s Chicago office. Laura’s practice focuses on a variety of areas, including employment law, commercial litigation and professional liability. She represents clients in both state and federal court. 

Laura is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois, the Northern District of Illinois, the Central District of Illinois and is admitted pro hac vice to the Southern District of Iowa.

Education

Laura earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Philosophy from Murray State University in 2006, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She received her Juris Doctorate degree from Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis in 2009, where she completed a a concentration in advocacy skills. While in law school, Laura was a Baker & Daniels Public Interest Law Fellow and a student attorney in the Civil Practice Clinic. She also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Patricia Riley of the Indiana Court of Appeals and as a law clerk in the Consumer Protection Division of the Office of the Illinois Attorney General.
