Professional Overview

Luke is an associate in O’Hagan Spencer’s Chicago office. His practice focuses primarily on professional liability defense and general business litigation and disputes. Luke’s practice includes the defense of employers regarding employment discrimination complaints and security brokers in professional negligence litigation. Luke’s practice also includes first party and third party insurance coverage, with a focus on arson, fraud and collusion. Additionally, Luke regularly consults and represents appraisers, real estate brokers and insurance producers in professional negligence litigation.

Luke gained extensive trial experience as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. As an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Felony Trial Division, Luke prosecuted hundreds of bench trials and over 30 jury trials to verdict. Additionally, Luke worked side by side with the Chicago Police Department in investigating criminal offenses and was responsible for determining whether to file felony criminal charges based upon those investigations.

Luke is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois, United States District Court of the Northern District of Illinois and Central District of Illinois, as well as the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Education

Luke earned his Bachelor of Business Administration - Finance from the University of Notre Dame and his Juris Doctor from Loyola University of Chicago. He was honored on the Dean's List of both programs.
